
Doors open on brand new menswear store as award winning fashion firm expands!

The award winning menswear firm Fallen Hero has opened the doors to its impressive new store at Marshall’s Yard in Gainsborough.
The north Lincolnshire company was named as 2011 Drapers Fashion Retailer of the Year and has now opened a second store which will operate alongside a busy Scunthorpe branch as well as the firm’s successful online business.
The Fallen Hero team has spent the last two months transforming a 1,670 sq. ft. striking glass fronted units at Marshall’s Yard into a stylish and unique store, stocking top menswear brands including G-Star, Lacoste, Diesel and Luke 1977 Replay, Religion plus many more.
The north Lincolnshire company was established in 1983 and has gained a reputation over the last thirty years for stocking some of the most sought after branded menswear available.
Three generations of the Fallen Hero family were on hand to launch the new store, Managing Director Darren Comerford was joined by his Dad, Des and young son Reuben.
The company has invested a substantial amount in the new store at Marshall’s Yard and the firm’s expansion has created five new jobs in the town. Darren said that everyone on the team at Fallen Hero is delighted to be bringing the company’s unique approach to the town.
The company’s keen eye for targeting the must have brands and its focus on excellent customer service have already proved to be a successful formula – Fallen Hero was up against some of the biggest names in retail when the company won the prestigious Drapers Fashion Retailer of the Year Award in 2011.
Darren said: “We’ve had a great response so far to the new store and everyone is really excited about the opening of our second store here at Marshall’s Yard.
"We think the fit-out looks fantastic and have had some lovely comments about the look and feel of the store - we always try to include quirky little details. We have been looking for an opportunity to expand for some time and Marshall’s Yard really it the perfect location for us.”
Fallen Hero is operating a click and collect service at Marshall’s Yard through its website – recently named in the top 20 e-commerce sites in the UK by the industry experts e-consultancy.
The company joins high quality retail line up at Marshall’s Yard which includes M&S, Laura Ashley, the boutique department store Browns and the independent boutique Chic.
Centre Manager Jackie Helliwell, said: “Fallen Hero is a fantastic addition to our line up here at The Yard and brings something really different for our young fashion conscious shoppers.
“The new store really does look fantastic and we are delighted to welcome Darren and his team to the centre.”
