Fit out work starts on JYSK’s new Gainsborough store

Fit out works have commenced at Danish retailer JYSK’s new store at Marshalls Yard in Gainsborough and is on track to open early December.
The new 12,570 sq. ft. store is located on the ground floor of the former DW Fitness unit. Landlord works have now been completed, transforming the former gym and pool area. The shop fit team have started their 6-week build programme this week.
Founded in Denmark in 1979 by Lars Larsen, over the past four decades JYSK has expanded to 51 countries with more than 2,900 stores worldwide employing more than 24,000 people and is the largest Danish retailer operating globally.
JYSK, pronounced YOOSK, is well known for high quality, on trend products for the home, from the bedroom to the garden.
Charlotte Toplass from the Marshalls Yard Centre Management Team said: “JYSK will be a fabulous addition to Marshalls Yard, and we are looking forward to having them open and trading just in time for Christmas.
“Home improvements are proving to be really popular in the current climate, it is the perfect time to introduce a furniture store to complement The Range which opened on the centre earlier this summer.
