Renewable energy company opens its first office at Gainsborough’s Marshall’s Yard.

6 November 2023

The renewable energy firm, Helix-50, has opened its first office at Marshall’s Yard shopping centre in Gainsborough.

Helix-50 Ltd is a division of Smith Bros Wholesale Ltd, one of the UK’s leading independent electrical wholesalers since 1814. The company has expanded its services through Helix-50 to focus on managing and installing projects as well as just wholesaling.

Delivering large scale solar and batteries to big organisations, Helix-50 are passionate and committed to reducing carbon energy and ensuring companies benefit from energy both financially and ethically.

The renewable energy firm works with both private and public sector organisations to help reduce energy consumption across social housing, schools, Government departments and commercial businesses helping to meet the Government’s targets for 2050.

Chief Operating Officer at Helix-50, Dave Deegan, works alongside Project Manager, Claire Fletcher to deliver the best quality services with their combined experience of over 31 years.

When asked about the relocation to Marshall’s Yard, Dave said: “We decided to completely separate Helix-50 from Smith Bro’s as we expand. Gainsborough was the ideal location for the new office as it is well connected to Doncaster and Lincoln.

“We particularly liked the atmosphere at Marshall’s Yard and the large choice of amenities which my team can access. It’s easy for them to pop out for a coffee and something to eat whilst enjoying a relaxed environment.”

Helix-50 currently has four team members within the company with plans of expanding the team locally, creating five to six new jobs for the area.

Jodie Pacey, Centre Manager at Marshalls Yard, said: “We are really pleased that Helix-50 has chosen to open its office here at Marshall's Yard as well as choosing to expand within the local area. We wish them all the best.”

Helix-50 are looking for Solar PV Installers and are keen to talk to local businesses on how to save energy through renewables. To find out more information visit www.helix50.co.uk or email info@helix50.co.uk.
